As I spoke mentioned in my post, Free and Low-Cost Small Business Consulting & Training, there is a plethora of valuable FREE training available for small business owners…and I am a firm believer in “never stop learning!”
One of the best source of guidance for small businesses is SCORE – Service Corps of Retired Executives. This nonprofit organization provides free business mentoring services to prospective and established small business owners in the United States. Just imagine, being mentored by leaders in your field…what a wealth of information by people who have been there!
I recently have participated in some of SCORE’s free webinars, and they are very helpful in my own small business. While participating in my most recent webinar, I was excited to see an advertisement for the upcoming National Small Business Week Virtual Conference! If you are as busy as I am, it is difficult to breakaway to attend live conferences…though I strongly believe in the value of the networking opportunities available in-person. But, the reality is, living in my neck of the woods (literally!), there are no training conferences closer than an 8-hour drive. So, I love the idea of being able to participate virtually, and not incur a great expense…plus, as mentioned, it’s FREE!
